There were claims about KEMRI "fixing" the malaria scourge, reducing cancer deaths, etc. Century-old diseases. And of course Pearl Omega - a sort of syrup like Omega3 for ARV. To me Kemri was just a Nyayo Milk, Nyayo Bus or Nyayo Pioneer One car model set up around '79 by the semi-literate hare-brained arap Nyayo. "Moi Medical Research Institute" would have been more suitable.
