BBI train is synonymous with 2022. Ruto quagmire remain Uhuru 2.0... he has to square with Uhuru in Mt Kenya. Even if he had 100% Gema and Kalenjin as in 2013-17 - Uhuru scored big in Maa, Gusii, Luhya where Raila is systematically locking out Ruto now. Ruto-Kiunjuri ticket is a tougher sell in non-Gema than Raila in Gema. Kiunjuri is unpolished, ungroomed character only palatable in Kikuyu. Likes of Kalonzo or Rectangular despite being paper-weight are palatable across the board. With a dismal CS record, Kiunjuri has no redeeming qualities like say Sonko slum appeal - more like Waititu or Kiraitu that only partially command one or two counties.
