Pundit, how is the class one laptop project doing?
« on: June 07, 2018, 12:32:08 PM »
How is the project doing? I have not heard much about it in the last one year. My bet is all kids in primary school have gone digital :D
Now in 10 yars time we will have a Kenyan Bill Gates. Lots of jobs coming for our youth who will all be digital unlike the current corp of leadership. :o

I think media can do that job of follow up. But yeah I am very optimistic about the future of Kenyan kids. That was one huge and timely investment.

Pundit, I asked the question some time back and you just replied generally.
As many of us predicted here that project was bound to fail from day one. Following are the reasons:
1. Such projects in Kenya are not thought out to the end and many people who would have been involved were never consulted like teachers.
2. Project of course was hijacked by middlemen who made a killing in putting up a e-curriculum and supplying the laptops.
3. No proper planing as the project was hijacked by politicians.

Generally. I do not hear anything about the project. Is it still on or died a natural death?
