Twiga has really good logistics and distribution system. A farmer growing strawberries in kinagop is able to get a fair price for his product at the farmgate . Price discovery is a breeze. Soon wakulima market and their mkototenis will be pushed out of market.  The MD clearly made the right decision to move from cocacola to Twiga.

I think they deal with supply chain - they enrol farmers, make sure they plant, certify the produce, and then distribute to mama mbogas/etc - who then sell. I hope this will help formalize mama-mboga/marikiti business.Technology is going to help formalize many sectors - now Twiga farmers can get loans because their production & earnings are well known - so will mama mbogas-- and also Twiga.

These kind of fin/agro/energy/tech need to been encouraged in all sectors.

So all Twiga does is distribute?

There is need to totally ban mikokoteni from towns and allow  tuktuks and their modifications.

Which is the real farming. Mama mboga is just retail.
