« on: March 10, 2019, 03:50:14 PM »
I hope this not the Boeing issue with the planes autopilot. There is a civil war in Ethiopia in the rural areas. I just hope this plane wasn't shot down. I have Ethiopian friends who cannt go home because of fear of the war betweeb govt and rebel forces

Copilot only had 200 hours. He may have made a fatal mistake that the captain didn't catch in time

It's too early to speculate. Do you engage autopilot on takeoff?

Here is a blog by a captain. He thinks Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System malfunctioned

Too much automation has led to two accidents in this 737 Max aircraft. Sensors take over immediately on takeoff and it only takes 5secs to bring a plane down
