Man! that's some bitter Chinese Pills you are serving!. Kenya is too steeped in the history of colonialism, apartheidid, slavery and the civil rights movement in the USA to swallow that crap. Plus Kenyans social studies education is based on western European progressive liberal culture of freedom, equality, democracy, freedom of speech, etc. The Kenyan government should tell the Chinese company that they are the ones who have to change to fit into the Kenyan culture and not the other way round otherwise they are going to create a political tsunami that will send both the Chinese and this government home. People do not care about SGR as much as the government does.
The Chinese must understand that they may have the money but the Western culture is so deeply rooted in Africa that its the Chinese who must find a way to adjust to it and not the other way around.
Of course. We got more or less a gift. Some me one country willing to lend you 3B. US is very rich but all they can afford is some few million dollars. SGR and other chinese loans are concessional...very low if any interests. And China is willing to invest in our future. They are risk their money.
We should ignore little things like them wanting to sit on their table and eat dogs. It will take some getting use to for both Chinese and Kenyans - so cultural difference may be pronounce now .
Are you suggesting that we are beggers?
We are paying for SGR and China did not give it to us as a gift.
