Any way the defence budget has just crossed 1B US$. Kenya's defence budget is more than Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda combined. Just to fight Aden Duale's cousins
If you ask me the budget of NIS and defence is inflated. More than 50% goes to tenderpreneurs pockets and their buddies residing in SH.
Also CDF was declared illegal by High Court of Kenya. Should be dumped in the dustbin.

Is Ruto a paper weight tiger?

Kadudu, the NIS billions are for bribing politicians, organizing rallies etc. It is a campaign slush fund. Right now it may appear that they are mobilizing MPs to support Ruto. That makes the likes of naive Pundits imagine Uhuru has let go of power and ceded it to Ruto. And that Ruto is an express train heading to the end station.

The truth is this:

1. MKM is worried about Kikuyu emigres in RV incase Ruto is removed.
2. The only card Ruto is playing is the Kikuyu emigres in RV who he treats as his hostages

Like all terrorist situations, you must first negotiate with them / him and even send him lots of Pizza before storming the building to rescue the hostages.

I think MKM has chosen a slightly different approach. They have fed him Pizza spiked with sleeping dawa; Then they are singing lullabies so he can sleep quietly before the soldiers storm the building and ease him out.

Call it voodoo at will but MKM will never hand power to Ruto or let him seize it.

There are several layers of NIS....the local nywele ngumu that you see bombing miguna house and driving subarus recklessly. Then a second layer of middle east mainly Israel ex mossad and Pakistan ex is 111. Third layer to monitor the other 2 layer mainly composed of Europen and American most based down in coast.  It cost a lot to house, cater and pay wages to 'foreign security' experts.

That will be nice. Really after collapse of NASA & Raila - who was busy with subversive activities involving Magufuli & others - NIS resources are now wasted - and can best be utilized to fight graft & alshabaab. I hope Uhuru stays on course.

Uhuru is so far the greatest PORK - and his two weakness had been insecurity (he sorted that out) and corruption (LOT OF WORKs) needed here.
