How on Hell did Alfie Keter obtain KShs. 633M Paper Bonds?

Nairobi, Kenya: Firebrand Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter has been arrested with two other for allegedly dealing in forged Treasury Bills worth Sh633 million. The embattled legislator was handcuffed by plain clothed officers alongside two directors of Desai Industries Madat Chatur and Arthur Sakwa.

Representatives from Central Bank confirmed that the trio tried to present forged bills to CBK director Patrick Njoroge. They have been taken to CID Headquarters for interrogation. Recently, Alfred Keter was among the four Jubilee legislators; James Gakuya (Embakasi North), Silas Tiren (Moiben) and Kangogo Bowen (Marakwet East) kicked out of house committees.

Why present them CBK director? Sound fishy - Keter claims he was going there to complain? I thought you redeem bonds through some broker.

Unfortunately for Keter he never learns. Last time the mhindi URP woman was used to set him up at toll bridge now CBK. Am sure they have tapes to finish him up. Ruling mafia can only win through blackmail

Yep.  I think he is as rotten as a jubilant can come.  This is an internal squabble.  I am not sure why folks in NASA feel the need to defend him.

Valid Treasury Bills can be cashed at the counter. No need for any CBK director not even mentioning the governor. The Treasury Bills that are taken to offices are those that are no longer valid or forged. This is how some CBK officials make their wealth.

What puzzles me is why he is being charged.  This sounds like fraud.  The Jubilant usually doesn't give a damn about it.  If anything he rewards it.  Worst case would be a summons to be quizzed by EACC detectives.
