Immortality + transferring consciousness
« on: January 28, 2018, 02:24:58 PM »
Do you think it's possible?

I do. It's not because I have faith in science but because of history. Not just human history but evolution, religion, politics everything seems to be heading towards a day when it's possible for sentient beings to transfer consciousness into other sentient beings. Who am I without you? I still remain conflicted on the possibility of a super consciousness though. When you think about it, our genes are a testement to our history and the predictors of our future.

I share the same sentiments.

I do however think a part of human civilisation will survive through a hybrid AI sentience. Metals and chips are afterall from organic matter. Everything created is from the universe and I believe where we are in terms of collective intelligence and aspirations is a survival mechanism towards a new race that can survive the elements of space. Like a fish evolving on land- I believe oneday AI will be no different to sentient beings in the traditional sense.

Genetic experience has been proven scientifically. That is why most 'successful' Africans across the world will gorge themselves on foods like meat and sugar due to the centuries/decades of lack by their ancestors.
