What has been happening in Lamu is bigger. The 'national security' veil, silence, accept and move on philosophy will claim more as it shuts constructive criticism, anger which drives evolution/improvements.

The way the attack was reported I thought she only got a few scratches.

That Kanyiri is the County Commissioner of Lamu despite Mandera, Wajir or Garissa messes show incompetence of the appointing authority.

There are lots of questions about the death of this lady that will not be answered while Uhuru Kenyatta is in power.

1. Why did a senior government official several ranks above the Regional Coordinator travel to a volatile area without any security?
2. Why did she take a detour in to the forest?
3. Who were the other people in her entourage who made a clean getaway back to Mombasa
4. Why did she meet Njiraini several times in Mombasa and Malindi
... [the ICC case] will be tried in Europe, where due procedure and expertise prevail.; ... Second-guessing Ocampo and fantasizing ..has obviously become a national pastime.- NattyDread

Get busy with more interesting conspiracy theories out there. She is from LAMU and was home.

May I assume Uhuru leaves his massive security on the border of Nairobi and Kiambu when in Gatundu? Which part of Lamu is her home? Exactly where does the "safe" portion of lamu start?

Or do those posing insecurity in the area warranting the stationing of KDF only target those who are "not home"?

Lamu or Mandera as unsafe as it may sound is still home to many people. Nobody forced her to go to Lamu county - her home.

Again my questions are not answered. Your latest response makes me wonder: Is there some agreement with terrorists not to attack government employees when they are "home"?
