I just heard this:
Uhuru sent his dogs to the judges: Accept 1Billion each and rule in my favor
Three accepted and four refused.
Plan B: Paralyze the court: To get quorum you need 5 judges. They had Njoki Ndung'u and Ojwang and Ibrahim. Ibrahim went away leaving six. Ojwang could stay away too leaving 5. They expected NASA to file a recusal application against Njoki. NASA did not play ball. The plan could not work without serious suspicions that it was fixed.
Back to Plan A:
They offer of bribe money increased to 5 and then 10 Billion each!
Same pattern of acceptance as earlier with Lenaola, Wanjala, Mwilu and Maraga refusing while Ojwang and Njoki took the offer got their cash banked in Uganda and Rwanda and confirmation obtained and delivered!
PLAN C: Intercept the judgment and replace it. Looked very clever on paper. Githu with Mullah and Ngatia wrote it. The plan was to have Ojwang read it as Maraga and others were held back. Vetoed as too risky and likely to explode the country to Kingdom come.
It was not entirely abandoned: Kameru, Muhoro and some unidentified woman were at the Supreme court. With armed men collected all the copies of the judgment and even seized the hard disk of the computer used. They were informed there weren't any other copies.
Nyakundi tweeted this minutes before the judges emerged (a whole half an hour past the scheduled time):
It turns out the Muhoro team delivered the "judgments" and hard disk and the state house boys erupted in celebration. These were interrupted to hear Maraga speak of a "majority" decision.
One or both of those two - Muhoro and kameru - will go home before these 60 days are over.
