Raila slum upgrading meets market forces

At least they are making mullah and hopefully they will be getting more income for these rentals or being millionaires from selling the property. Kibera has a lot of opportunities. I say wide streets and semi upgraded weather roads. I wish they can give the people living there titles ..I would buy a plot there

Uthamakian

Kibera landowners = GEMA
Kibera Slum Dwellers = Landless

So who is benefiting from the propaganda you are spreading.

1. There is over 10B USD pledged over the years to transform Kibera. This is from governments, UN and private donors
2. The GEMA landlords obtained a permanent injunction against any projects in Kibera
3. The roads you mention are what Raila as PM managed to get but was stopped by a GEMA court order. No new roads can be constructed to open up the area
4. Waiguru cynically exploited Kibera to loot funds from NYS and undertook cosmetic projects for publicity and propaganda
5. If Uhuru was interested in helping the "jaluos" he would have worked to lift the injunction so that KENSUP could continue

Here is what Raila was doing when Kikuyu landowners obtained an injunction claiming the land which they had allocated to them at Land Ministry without even knowing where it is located. The order was given despite a clear case of adverse ownership clearly established:

Waiguru poured some tar and got some boys (Kikuyu) to clear some drainages (the work of County Gov which Kibera residents pay for) then called the GEMA media to claim she was doing what "Laira had failed to do over 20 years". Typical Uthamaki

You're such a fucking tribalist. I was talking about the social aspect of this project versus the reality of capitalism and market economy. The article did point to factors that led to owners moving out of these houses. I do not know who owns the shacks  in kibera. If gema owns them I careless. Nubians should have built houses and rented them it was their land. If the morons never did so someone then occupied the land I blame their foolishness.

Built on land that is "theirs" while your tribesmen hold the titles and are the "lawful" owners?

The solution is to issue every structure holder a title deed and those slums will disappear naturally.

And cancel the GEMA titled deeds? How do you do that when they have the high court on their side?
