Why Gideon could lose to Chelugui in Baringo Senate race
« on: June 07, 2017, 09:04:54 PM »
Poor Gideon is being given a run for his money by Ruto's boy Chelugui... the signs are there - he is even scared of being booed :D I wonder what happened to the deal with Uhuru.

Exactly. But why is Ruto so ruthless? -he handpicked the formidable Chelugui who was eyeing governorship. Gideon is no threat to him say like Mutua is to Kalonzo. Ruto should have left the poor guy alone and play the adult.

Moi made a blunder when choosing an heir.

The man he should have chosen to succeed him was Philip Moi. He is rough, ruthless and takes prisoners to torture for entertainment.

I think Ruto thought Cheboi was strong - but who knows - maybe he was targeting Gideon. After mama ngina brokered deal - I think WSR has ceased attacking KANU. So Gideon Moi can win - if he sprays money like he always does - But he is such a poor leader - Baringo people just ought to kick him out.

Does he have the stomach for politics.I think Raymond Moi seem to be doing well and might be re-elected back as Rongai Mp. He is down-to-earth unlike Philiph & Gideon who were brought up without any grounding. Jonathan could also make good politician.

Gideon & Philip - should just tour the word, play polo or casino - or whatever rich folks do - politics is not cut for them -  Gideon has spent the last 20 yrs learning Kalenjin :) and Kishwahili.

Moi used a lot of energy to "tame" Philip. I recall when he issued a "fatwa" to all ministers that whoever deals with Philip will go home in the one o'clock news. Only Ntimama and Lotodo defied it.

Eventually such things work. I think the boy gave up and fell in line - especially when he married and suffered pecuniary embarrassment having to ask people for help.

I can't rate them now. I don't know them anymore. However Gideon was never suited for politics - not our politics. He grew up and found people standing up for him to sit and thinks that is how it works - Mudavadi style. People do not give out free things unless they have plenty.

About his senate seat: It is quite clear that if he survives the onslaught, he will challenge Ruto. He should know that Ruto will come after him. When the Pharaoh was told about Moses, he acted to forestall it, did he not? He too should not have listened to Uhuru / Mama Ngina/ Moi but should have splashed his money in RV, sponsored candidates far and wide in Kenya and prepared to make alliances outside RV-Central.

He is content to sit and wait for the day when Uhuru will send for him, give him a seat next to his and before countless blinding cameras, announce that he (Uhuru) is abdicating for Gideon Moi. Giddy would then make a well prepared speech as the trumpets blow and soldiers march. What an idiot!

Does he think Uhuru would like to see him turn up with a promissory note in 2022? Naivete is worse than death, however blissful.
