There are serious ethical issues here, and in more serious places he would have been shoved out the door by now.    But this is Kenya, Land of Kula Nyama, and any kind of theft is the norm. 

That aside, let's try to be reasonable and understanding; he probably meant to do the right thing.   Put yourself in his shoes:  if you talked as much as he does, when would you have the time to do your own writing?   :o
