Kenya has no plan. Kibaki and Raila came close, but then.....

Yeah they are not doing well this year but you've got to admit they've really grown the last few years - I wish kenya could grow as fast. Ethiopia if it can transition to a democracy - will go places. It has 100m people, huge land and hydro-potential - although drought(desertification) & political risks remain the elephant in the house.

only homegenous countries can get away with dictatorship - talking about say CHina - where Hans are 90% of China - but Ethiopia where majority Oromo are feeling unhappy and where small tribe is running it is not going far. Heterogenous countries need democracy and lots of devolution & federalism.

Democracy is good when practiced as it is supposed to. Most leaders think that the opposition is the enemy so resources are allocated to silence them. Case study S. Korea democracy. The country gained independence at the same time as Kenya, but look at where they are. Kenyans are very unpatriotic, they worship thieving politicians and ignore the likes of change seekers.
