I still don't get when I hear the economy is expanding and there is growth in most sectors when all I see and hear is layoffs, companies shutting down/moving  or when you look at most company valuation the big thing is real estate. ......what am I missing ???

This isn't uhuru bank, its a west african bank that foolishly expanded branches building brick and mortal branches instead of investing in mobile technology to collect deposits and disperse loans cheaply. Commercial bank of africa uhuru bank made the correct call and partnered with Mpesa to establish Mshwari it now has 14m customers. It has also expanded to Tanzania, uganda and rwanda using the same mobile model. If it was a listed company I'd bet it would be one of the most valued banks that's growing very fast.  Technology disruption in banking sector is real in Kenya.
