Omits the fact Jaramogi led the Independence movement, was offered the presidency by the Brits but declined for Kenyatta in respect of majority representation. Omits the fact Jaramogi began a new party in support of multi-party pluralism. Adds Tom Mboya to the mix like he was the father of independence.

Who was to become Kenya's PM after KANU won 1961. Jaramogi or James Gichuru. I think James Gichuru as caretaker chairman was the one to take over.

Wikipedia is a blessing and a curse.  A repository of impressive knowledge and shocking ignorance.  When the subject matter is contentious, it is settled by majority.

That said, we have always been taught Kenyan history from the perspective of the victorious home guards so to speak.  For instance Jomo Kenyatta is still casually associated with MAU MAU even though  he disowned them, and after independence neglected them in favor of homungati.

Google & Wikipedia might be doctored by the status quo, but academic papers can't be re-written. Perhaps the reason why the status quo is trying so hard to pollute the truth. Publish academic papers which favor a narrative subservient to the status quo.
