Magufuli Winning Tz Election
« on: October 29, 2015, 04:07:59 PM »

I was with some Tzians last night and we talked the election.  Someone asked what tribe Magufuli was.  Nobody seemed to know or care.  I was brought down to earth to learn later that the fellow asking the question was a Kenyan.

I noticed their logo is similar to PNU. My guess is Kikuyu Freemason Tanz equivalent.

Hehe, interesting.

Tz, unlike Kenya, has not experienced skewed opportunities because of where the President hails from.  They don't do tribes.

I am interested to see what is going to drive their politics going forward now that they are competitive.  Do they become tribalistic like Kenya?  Or is it going to be driven by tension between Socialists and Capitalists?

Opposition really tried. Nearly 40% against the CCM is no joke. Hope they can build on those gains going forward esp in parliament.

Now. this is a good example of how elections are supposed to be held. I was really impressed by TZ. We could learn a thing or 2 from them.
