Tim Hunt sexism controversy: what do you guys think?

I don't think it is sexism. But I'm just trying to understand the political side. Why are the Brits protecting Connie St Louis? Is it because she's black or because there's another agenda going on?

Does anyone know how Dr Paik (head of the Korean women in science and engineering) is involved? Any evidence she was in this with Deborah Blum lady?
