Integrity is foreign culture in Kenya.
We as Africans have our own values to uphold.

Yep.  You mention integrity, the Kenyan reaches for his dictionary.  The Negro is not above corruption much the same way that the sea is not above the clouds

This is Kenya.   Sonko is a senator, and Kabogo is a governor.   So, why not Waititu as an MP?

In any case, strictly speaking, his character is no worse than that that of many "bigger leaders" in Kenya.    His real "problem" is  his rough-and-ready style, and there probably would not be any objections if he engaged in low-key criminality and other misbehavior.

I agree that Waititu's real crime is eating with his mouth open.  Rather than just partaking in the meal.

In other reports, a near physical altercation.  MPs eating with their mouths open.

If this had happened during Shikuku's tenure in parliament  heads could have rolled. The place has become a den of thieves headed by the speaker. The guy has no class. He thinks he's to protect the connected at the expense of Kenya. Noticed Kenyatta has said nothing!!!

Sadly this is the reality we have to confront.
