What going on in this ghetto
« on: February 10, 2026, 04:37:30 AM »
I lost my password a while ago and got too busy to try to get back in

On Politics
Ruto has lost the whole of KIKUYU vote
He has lost Gen Z and elites vote
He is now left with Kalenjins and luos who want to settle scores with kikuyus

This then tells me that 2027 elections will be about anyone but ruto. Ruto is going to carry the cross of poverty. Poverty has ravaged most kenyans and money supply has dried up. Being that this is la nina year hunger and food related inflation will make the voters even more belligerent

Education cost is out of reach for majority of Kenyans. I'm suprised that most families can't raise measly 50k even an emergency shows up.

Grade 10 transition is a disaster. Universities don't have resources to cater for the growing number of students. My Niece is UON, 2ND years are required to seek housing outside campus as there is no housing available. I had to step up since my cousin can't be able to pay her rent.
Where is poor student supposed to get 5k to rent a room 25kms away from UON. Even while she there for 1 year, she needed 18k a semester to buy cafeteria food..

Healthcare
With Trump having tightened the purse and dismantled usaid and privatized this aid. Kenyan Healthcare will be in shit for another 3 years till Trump leaves. Aids, Malaria and tb is going to claim quite a number of lives

Poverty
Knsb stats show Poverty has gone 36% during kibaki time to 43% now. More kenyans are sninking into Poverty.

Economy
Gdp is growing at 6% but it seems this is not trickling down
The growth is still being consumed by dynasties like Kenyattas and multinationals

Debt has killed any space for ruto to maneuver. He is now taxing kenyan ls just to engage in zero sum projects like avoidable housing..since kibaki tax revenues have doubled but incomes have stagnated

All in I ain't coming back to that hell hole. I made the right decision to stay put abroad
