I guess you have convinced me, those classes in Baringo and the massive poverty, unemployment, dying universities and education, unworkable healthcare are all falsehoods spread by bloggers who are actually on the ground taking photos and videos live. The Ruto presidency is even worse than Moi because people had very little expectation from Moi. Moi did not campaign on lies and then delivered nothing, with Moi, if he delivered something, people were almost surprised like in education which Ruto has killed including Moi university. I guess next week he will surrender half of the government to Raila to survive and so Kenyans can continue to suffer. Raila is working really hard for the chebukati sendoff which is really not that far off.
Those are the results of 60+ years of Kenya's economic management. Baringo is like any county where incompetent governors are looting funds through misappropriation. They were poor during Moi, Kibaki, and Uhuru, and now, but with Ruto's national approach, the county will be better off after his 10 years of service investing in water, rural electrification, health, housing, education, etc. The function of government is to provide essential services, and citizens are to take advantage of them to advance their lives. Poverty is something that can be eradicated by a citizen, not Government. That explains why we have rich people in a poor country and extremely poor people in rich countries like USA. As of today, there are over 211,000 homeless people in California living under $2 a day, and California, if it were a country, would be in the top 4 in the world (Tafakari hiyo). In Baringo, I doubt there are over 50K people living under $2 a day, maybe $4-5. It seems those 200,000 in California would do well in Baringo lol. Poverty ni kujitakia and there is nothing big or small a government can do to rescue someone on an individual level. Individual responsibility, Pombe, Bangi, depression, laziness, curses, etc., cannot be eradicated by government policy or a politican. The founder of TATU CITY said it well that "If you want to prosper, invest, and bring your talent and money to Kenya because of unlimited opportunities." His initial 3 million dollars turned to $170 million and is now on course to hit $500 million. Imagine if Kenyan politicians and rich folks invested in Kenya like him?
