Even if Kindiki could bring in Mt Kenya East would that be enough to get DPORK against ODM? Logically if Raila backs Ruto DPORK would be the first chip off the table.

Kindiki is a dud, I tried listening to him and almost passed out. He has no traction in Mt Kenya, they know that he is being used so most people will shrug their shoulders and move on. I do not see real excitement in Mt Kenya east except some in his backyard. The only person right now poised to inherit Mt Kenya if we go tribal is Kalonzo. His name is being mentioned a lot in Mt Kenya which is always a good sign.

Already Kindiki is a failed mission. Then term limits extension nonsense in the two years, you test seething masses and give a platform for opposition to foment and take shape.

Although I oppose a referendum and any changes to the constitution, it appears that Raila, Koome, and the government have already created a win-win strategy that almost 65% of Kenyans support. The 35% that bitterly oppose will likely be straightened to submission like Gen Zs. Judiciary, executive, and legislature should be independent and so as ruling party and opposition parties. For now, the judiciary, legislature, executive, and two main parties (Kenya Kwanza and ODM) are in the same boat.

Any attempts at term extension will burn Kenya to ashes, they cannot force it and will fail miserably at a referendum. I have said it here before, the only route Ruto has to staying in power in Kenya beyond 2027 is rigging the election or handing power to a powerful prime minister and dud presidency, both will be rejected by Kenyans in a referendum or  revolution. At this point Ruto’s only plan should be how he stays out of jail for corruption and all the extrajudicial killings under his watch.
