Time for Another Hiatus
« on: October 01, 2015, 08:12:04 PM »
From next week. Pastor knows why.

This time it will be extended. I want to believe I will continue to read but can't comment. I am pleased that I managed to completely avoid the Cesspool. I however paid a visit today and found mediocrity still rules. There are no principles or any values.

When Kunadawa becomes "opposition" pointing out obvious violations then you have a problem. I have to continue giving it to AoH. He has contained the Orangutan. The Primate has the audacity to pretend that he did not as recently as last year keep licking Ahmednassir backside. I loved the way AoH cut his balls so surgically, Carly Fiorina must be envious (despite her removing Donald Trump's).

I have missed Pundit. Anyway, he must be busy.

So I am not dying. I am taking a much needed hiatus from next week.

I read when away but I can't comment beyond a trite remark. As I said contractual obligations. Nobody checks but I am one of those people who obey rules -especially those I have a duty to supervise the upholding by others.

These sites (w/o The Choo place) are very valuable. I met a law student who was talking to me about "Omollo" and "RV Pundit" etc. He knew not that he was speaking to Omollo in person. We have trained many people in Argument and Disputation. I marveled at how he could hold his on.

May be one of these days you and I can start a college with a special curriculum. MoonKi can be the Rector, Termie, Veritas, Kadudu, Gout etc would make perfect lecturers.

I also think you don't have to take a hiatus as such.  It's a website that you can access from anywhere, anytime.  But you should feel free to take a break without having to explain it.

The rumor mill goes in to over drive. I am just trying to mitigate and pre-empt some of it.

I see.  I would treat it like a tree falling in a distant forest.

He, he, he ... the Kenyan head is too hard for softies of my type.   But for a money-making arrangement, not?    These days in Kenya, if you can't be a preacher (and eat seed) or are not in a position to eat government money, then the best thing is an academy, upgraded to a college, and then a university.    In fact, with enough money you can have all, and more, at one go: Six-storey building.   Bar, MPESA outlet, grocery store, and shoeshine boy on the ground floor.   Institutions of learning on the next 3 floors.  Rooms to rent---rooms, not apartments/flats, for a better return---on the remaining floors.

Things are booming in Kenya, but here we are ... lost in some cyberspace wilderness ... talk, talk, talk.  We too should get a slice of our great country!

Pastor knows what ? Hope you'll be ok Omollo...

I'd be a pretty lousy lecturer. ..  skipping my own lectures. With MK in charge that's a horror story waiting to happen. I bet he'd have me locked up in a basement right below his office in the name of Yahweh so I don't threaten his precious ivory tower rules. Replace me with a body double. I could end up like that chic from that movie "the ring" using electrical cables to reach out to peeps. I cannot envision a peachy scenario with this arrangement.. sorry Omollo.

Omollo, you are great. Nipate can't get enough of your posts. I agree with you that nipate.com is a cesspool (since Kuria Kikuyus took over), but we cannot generalize all of them as evil. A kikuyu family gave us a ride to the airport when my family was trying to leave or flee the country. Most of them are good and hardworking people

I posted this to see Kuria's adherents reaction: http://nipate.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=58818

Thanks for your kind words. I am not alone in promoting this and other sites. I tried to name some names earlier and realized just how many I had left out - too many!

Cesspool is not that bad. It is just that one or two people have decided to disobey all the laws of Reason. Here is what wikipedia says of Reason:
Quote
Reason is the capacity for consciously making sense of things, applying logic, establishing and verifying facts, and changing or justifying practices, institutions, and beliefs based on new or existing information.[1] It is closely associated with such characteristically human activities as philosophy, science, language, mathematics, and art and is normally considered to be a definitive characteristic of human nature.[2] The concept of reason is sometimes referred to as rationality and sometimes as discursive reason, in opposition to intuitive reason.[3]
Note what I have underlined.

On the subject of tribalism, I can only open up and tell you that you have missed the point. At Cesspool, I tried to fight blatant bias and tribalism. It did not work. I tried to be patient but all I saw was nothing but duplicity where people practiced tribalism and spewed hate but hid behind standard terms. They refused to condemn evil but used clever terms to defend and explain it away.

So I chose the concept called Balance of Terror. I decided to expose tribalism by calling it by name. As I expected, the Moist response came in handy for the people who had been fighting Moi: Accuse the person who complaints of tribalism of being a tribalist! The rest is history.

I have left the place with my demand that any person who can provide evidence of my being a tribalist. I have on the contrary dished out evidence of bias, tribalism and so on involving most of "them". Nobody has ever attempted to prove my so called tribalism.

As for making the allegations, virtually every bigot has tried. But when challenged to back it up, they become the usual idiots by saying "find the evidence yourself". In other words, I should prove something I am opposed to and which I am challenging!

I do not hate any group of Kenyans.
