Now anybody with a smartphone can reach millions of people in a moment. Yet everyday the social media is expanding in Kenya faster than then they can summon trolls.

It is no different from the days when Ngugi and others came up with pamphlets - Mpatanishi, DTM etc. Then Moi used the Special Branch to intimidate. Show trials of the 80s and 90s are back on the table. Some of the current turncoats made their mark and ended up in parliament via Moi's dudgeons. Expect to see more bloggers behind bars.
