Kuria Still on the War Path

He was appointed for his ability to irritate and he is delivering. Minutes after cheating the Law Society ofg Kenya and the NCIC to pardon him, Kuria was at it again. This time he claims the IG can be approved by the National Assembly alone without the Senate.

The Inspector-General is appointed by the President with the approval of Parliament. The Constitution defines Parliament as consisting of the National Assembly and the Senate.

It also declares that if any other law is inconsistent with the Constitution, the supreme law shall prevail and the other law shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be void.
