They are being invaded from all over . People are saying with unga at 230 - something has to give. Seem political class are also in it - they are one telling police to go slow - and as urging people to pluck the tea.

It's a free for all - people are saying tea belong to their grand parents.

I am not sure what game is on - but I think all the way to WSR - they want a share of the tea. The 15% they gave to local cooperatives was ruse - I suspect politician will want their own 15% - for free of course.

Music to my ears. The big landowners must be reminded we have millions of squatters. The insensitive mwafrika governments need such reminders.

Meanwhile, the bad optics are working.

I see they have captured it in the budget statement.

Quote
1.2.3.2 Rural Housing and Settlement

20. The Government will establish a Settlement Fund similar to the one that was used to acquire land from settler farmers after independence. To stop land fragmentation, the land purchased by the scheme will be subject to land use planning where beneficiaries will own transferable residential plots in planned settlement, and right to lease non-transferable agricultural land.

Finally made it through.  Had to go through crazy places.  Went through Kipchimchim towards Kaisugu tea estate and ended up near Chepsir.  Took almost three hours to get to the highway. Crazy day I tell ya

I'm confused by this post - they are taking the tea to do what with it? can they process it?

Thank you for your post @Punda. Now go tell tone deaf Uncle Willy (& RVHH) that unga is back to Ksh 230 and not down to 150 as he keeps stating in media interviews.

What does Ekaterra mean that they are suspending operation till further notice. They leave the tea to the locals. Great CSR.

  • EVERY KENYAN SHOULD HAVE A GUN.
Ruto is financing these invasions so that he acquires that land illegitimately. He has been doing this since ngong forest invasion, muteshi land idp grabbing and post election violence which displaced many people.

Even if it takes 20 years,we shall defeat him.
