Sakaja should allow Hawkers to elect their leaders and self regulate; Leader of group of hawkers should be held responsible for any mess. Remove Kanjo from enforcing because they will beat up hawkers damaging hustler nation dream

Karissa Maitha had done it. In Tanzania it is the hawkers who clean their spots. You just need to provide bins and self regulating sanctions.

I am looking forward to having sizzling hot street foods on Wabera street like it is in Vietnam, Philippines and such. We need to dispel the nonsense that you cannot enjoy your monies in Kanairo streets. That you have to hide in Kilimani or dingy bars. Allow street bars after 8 to bring back CBD to life. One bar easily employs a shift of 10 people.

Exactly - Nairobi main city center can become a 24hours city - by allowing people to work at night on streets. Increase city lights. Improve security. Let people sit outside. From 9ish - bring back city life.

And then send all those bars making noise to kids back to city center.

This is what other cities do - they disallow bars and clubs in residential areas - and have a city center where all actions happen - with 24hrs matatuy
