Raila  had Isaac hassan and Oswago in 2013 and still lost .
In 2022 he had Cherera and the 3musketeers but still lost.
Elections in Kenya are won at the ballot simple fact . Something which made many Raila supporters realize that in 2022 .

Right now he is not trying to defend Cherara what he is doing is putting himself in a place just like pre 2017 elections where he must be involved in selection of the commissioners. You need to make up your mind in one stance you say if Raila had Chebukati because he was chair he would be President in the next line you say Raila had Kivuitu but he didnt become president because majority of commissioners were not with him . Election gov of the day attempted to coerce IEBC/ECK to declare a loser the winner.
In 2007 they succeeded because they intimidated Kivuitu.
In 2022 - they failed because of Chebukati heroic actions.
And Ruto had learnt the lessons from 2007...was on top of the game.
It took Chebukati heroism, US and UK embassy and Ruto security forces to stop last minute attempts to moderate the results - kidnap Chebukati etc
Then it was downhill for Uhuru and Raila.
