Very insightful interview.
I have met him in kericho several times.
We both went to Highlands primary Kericho - me for a year in 1987 - him in 1970s
He went to Airforce - cadet - taken to Eastleigh supplies and on coup - participated in ochuka thing after appeal- shimo la tewa and kamiti
Released in 1987  - and went into capentry from skills in prisons - as he went to Kenya Poly for Diploma in Supplies.
Started Ngong road display of furniture - and it was profitable until economic recession of 1990s.
Nobody was buying furntiture - bought a tour van and started matatus.
Drove it himself - knocked 3 the nascent mungiki/tout senslessly in Kangemi on his first day with his military skills - and changed history.
Matatu owners - kikuyus asked him to save them from touts - and they took over Kangemi & town stages.
He owns Star Buses - with six others.
