Politicians and Gov will not do this.

Once the public demand that KDF pull out of somalia; they will pull out.

KDF are needed in Kenya. In NEP. IN Northern Kenya. Along our borders.

We need demos demanding an end to the stupid war.

Our tourism is dead as dodo. Today i was reading Narok county collected 250M from last Q...from usual 750M. That is whopping 300% drop. I can only imagine what is happening down at  the coast..who depend on tourism. Coast with their distrust of Jubilee....mean we are going to lose another province to Alshabab.

US a super power with military resource kenya cannot imagine...failed in Afgan and Iraq....and Somalia...who are we to think we will suceed.

And what will be nature of that success anyway...KDF celebrating in background of camels and cows.

Leave that wasteland arid barren land to SOMALIS. SOMALIS in kenya and in somalia are definitely giving Alshabaa free ride and maybe food and sex..to go .fuakc the infidels.

You know where I stand on that matter.

I was listening to TNA propagandists in a certain forum where I shut up like the village idiot while seething with anger. They claimed that the mission to Somalia has no effect on the attacks and that after all Ethiopia has soldiers in Somalia and there are no attacks in Ethiopia. Note that one of the illiterate "scholars" is a historian and another a Social Scientist.

Here is the explanation for the Ethiopian angle:

Ethiopia unlike Kenya has fought a bloody war against Somalia. The prize was the Ogaden Province of Ethiopia. The war was fought under a marxist leninist regime with no qualms about human rights and such niceties. The Ethiopian government took some steps that would pacify Ogaden for ever. i) They forcefully relocated the population away from areas where they could provide support to an invading Somalia army 2). They took out all sympathisers who had supported the initial invasion and relocated those who were shown mercy 3). Moved many non Somalis in to Ogaden and attempted to diversify the population 4). Effectively ended marginalization of the area and took an interest in the province.

Now Kenya did none of that.  There are trenches or defensive lines that have once been used and which continue to be maintained.

Ethiopia going in to Somalia is part of its National objectives of continually weakening any possible threat preemptively. It enters with clear objectives - blows up bridges, destroys defensive structures and creates a highway to Mogadishu in event of a new invasion. In other words Ethiopia undertakes regularly military exercises to defend herself against possible Somalia attacks. Ethiopia has a network of spies within Somalia most of them from the Communist days who have been operating inside Somalia for decades.
