Omollo Congratulates Ruto
« on: September 12, 2022, 10:16:42 AM »
I want to congratulate Bill Ruto for successfully beating the competition & being declared President.

He must thank both Uhuru & Raila for running the most inept campaign I've ever seen. He must also thank his secret donors who were able to raise 300M to pay Guliye, Marijan & The other. Chebukati had long been emasculated.

The formalities over: Ruto has to govern. I will return on Wednesday to offer him free advice which he will probably ignore.

But I wish to point out this for his 1st 10 days:

1. Declare an amnesty for people to bank their money without restrictions or taxes for 4 years
This is because I realized KRA did real damage by raiding bank accounts & taxing deposits. Results were obvious to all but Uhuru.
2. Include foreign currency in the amnesty. Give a longer tax break on foreign currency

I'm saying let a Somali guy walk into his bank with  Usd 10m and bank it without noise from Opusi Day!

As president & new government he has every right to declare such an amnesty with a view of raising funds to service debts.

The other crap like dealing with Matiangi etc is nonsense. As a matter of fact keep Matiangi in the same office & send him after those of Uhuru's honchos he wants to shake down. Sacking him will dent his support in Gusii. No need.

He deals with the economy or Kenyans will kiss him goodbye.

... [the ICC case] will be tried in Europe, where due procedure and expertise prevail.; ... Second-guessing Ocampo and fantasizing ..has obviously become a national pastime.- NattyDread

How surely can Ruto keep Matiangi :) Ruto should get folks who are understands what Hustler Revolution really is - and if they dont pass that basic interview they go home. For me - dealing with dynasties is a prerquisite for real work to begin. Its not the real work. Next CS of anything should think BOTTOM UP. If youre internal security - think ass chiefs and chiefs - and how they can be empowered. If you're KRA - think bottom up - how we can raise the tax bracket - at bottom- even if it's 200 shs - when you make that 30m people it become a lot of money. So I would go for radical stuff like banning cash transactions (or at least removing anything more than 100shs note) - and forcing everyone to use mpesa---then it will be easy and cheap for kra to follow the money.

Ruto success and failure will be define by how he treat the hustlers...the poor at the bottom of the pyramid.

Ruto has a manifesto implement it - agriculture - electric bikes - housing - get it done.

I can see a man who will be very disappointed. You really think there's anything like",Hustler Revolution".

We have Kibaki & The Young Turks afresh.

Ruto is interested in power. Hustler crap is what he had to say to get poorly educated fools to vote for him. He doesn't believe it nor has any method of implementation.

Are you think David Ndii? I didnt know him well enough. When I got up close I saw a make believe magician. He is adept at trickery and doesn't know stuff. I met lots of people who gave him jobs and he failed to deliver.

If Ruto is serious about that then he should hire a professor of Social Development. In fact it's nothing new. Professor Alan Rew designed it for Moi during the much talked about District Focus For Rural  Development. The likes of Nyachae fucked it. I realized that your expert has no idea what work has already been done. That's because he is an economist trying to be a sociologist.
Anyway good luck.

Limiting money supply is exactly what Rehoboam told Israelites after Solomon died. You ease up not tighten. He should tighten spending but ease the burden of citizens. If not they will start from the level of discontent Uhuru leaves. That will give him no time before a popular revolution throws him aside. The situation is very bad.

Beware that those dynasties will fight back and hard. The Tigrayans learned a lesson that Ruto should pick. In the end the dynasties can't be destroyed by a nuclear bomb. They get replaced by attrition. If you go after them with a hammer in 5 to 20 years, theyll mess you up.

But you guys are drunk with power. I was expecting this from Railaists in event they won. But here we are you are coming off worse in terms of arrogance. I'll drop in from time to time to see you cut to size.

We've fought those guys for a very long time. I can tell you I never seen dirtier players than them. Again Good luck ?

Your failure is not Ruto failure. You continue to understimate Ruto despite what Ruto has done so far - pulling a win against all odds stack againts him - doing it in his first run - and just aged 55yrs. Just continue watching and keeping notes.

Ndii plan has been reduced to actions. Ruto is the guy who get it done - he has never failed in any assingment - and is not about to fail - when he is now the most powerful. Dynasties will be done by Dec. Ruto is not gropping in the dark - he has been part of the systems - he has inteligence on them - he knows where to hit and when.

From tomorrow you'll see the real Ruto.I pity maDVD and other lazy bones. They wont manage the pace. Ruto is not coming to play around - he is coming to shake things and make changes.

There is no one in kenya you can compare with Ruto as of today - Meles, younger Museveni and Kagame - that kind of rare transformational and serious leadership.

I am pretty excited for kenya - for once we have the leader with brains, energy and committment to get stuff done - if Ruto fails then it was humanly impossible to suceed. Things that took others years -  Ruto will clear in a week

I largely agree with your analysis but Matiangi cant be kept simply because all those top position have to be repaid to Rutos royalist, there is no space for gathecas people even if you performed because Hustlers need position and the current need move over. Politics is not charity work.

Under an international treaty, you cant walk to any bank and deposit over $10k. You have to account for it
I agree with you:
Ruto must lead not seek revenge, otherwise he's a no starter.
Strengthen institutions. He must embrace rule of law and abandon hustler style. Supreme court he once vilified helped him.
Build trust.
He was elected by Huslers, so he needs to move carefully befor ethey abandon him
Me too am watching actions not words.

Well, well, we wait to see!

I assure you there is nothing of this nature that Ruto is gonna pull. He is not a magician to pull things from nowhere. There were much smarter people that Uhuru (and the same Ruto) had in their government, but what they they deliver?? A horrendous spate of abandoned "white elephants" and broke coffers.

Kenya is flat broke and there are no funds to fund subsidies that I heard him speaking about yesterday to reverse things. Who will fund these subsidies... already World Bank/IMF have asked us to let the market forces determine things. They wont support any subsidy programmes... so Fuel, Unga, Farming inputs are out....

I would recommend he goes slow and takes stock and then take action with informed data; campaigns have ended and it is now time to offer realistic solutions.

Your failure is not Ruto failure. You continue to understimate Ruto despite what Ruto has done so far - pulling a win against all odds stack againts him - doing it in his first run - and just aged 55yrs. Just continue watching and keeping notes.

One reply will address all issues raised.
1. My failures: personally; none I know of. Never failed in any undertaking & I'm an eternal student sucking in knowledge faster than a vacuum cleaner. If you mean political failure: I've never run for any political office. My interest has always been to end poverty because it's all I've seen around the world yet I know the solution is simple. I ally with anybody who in my view will address mass poverty. I supported Raila on that basis & dumped him when he abandoned the carefully tailored programs. I jumped ship BEFORE Ndii & others. I publicly stated it in every forum. Have I failed? Nah. The search for an ally continues.

2. I underestimate Ruto?
One thing I teach my children is to NEVER underestimate anyone. The mantra is: there is no fool on earth. Hakuna mtu mjinga duniani. Even the so called retards are still complex machines. Every human is endowed differently from others while sharing all the human basics. So please review your utterance and learn.

I have never underestimated Ruto. I had no predictions on the election. I never supported or opposed any candidate. There were some things I liked but most were and remain pure unrealistic propaganda. We shall see a lot of that in the coming days and weeks.

3. Ruto is 55. Good for him. It says nothing about anything. I recently hired a retired professor and skipped over 30 year olds with PhDs. That's because the old man will deliver exactly what we want. He has no ambitions & I don't need to deal with hanky panky and sexual harrassment complaints by those bitches the 30 year old turns down.

Expecting Ruto to fail is setting yourself for big disappointment.Ruto is not in statehouse to have fun..he is driven and has ambition to be the greatest president there ever was and will ever be...so he will work his arse off..he will work as long as it takes .Those who want to be appointed to big position should be ready for long hours

I probably failed to restate what I've often repeated: "Professor" is an academic title of a job at University. I'm not thinking of those professors in Kenya who remain professors for the rest of their lives once so named.

He has a post doctorate in addition  authorship of unquantifiable academic papers on the subject matter. We picked an highly intelligent person. But age was his absolute advantage!

I can't begrudge you of your exuberance & enthusiasm. At least for now!
But when settled you'll recall that I'm probably one of the most realistic person around - whether you like me or not.

Failure is not something anyone chooses. Failure may not necesarily be deliberate or accidental. It just happens regardless of our desires. Nobody - not even Uhuru Kenyatta- went to state house with a willful determination to fail. Nah.

Moi was a hard worker. But too often events conspired to hand him defeat! Both Bushes left office amid a collapsed economy.

Let's all wish Ruto the best. But he's no superman or angel bestowed with infallibility.
