Results verification ends as presidential outcome expected today
The five-day verification of results forms has come to an end on Monday with the IEBC expected to declare the results of the August 9 polls.
The 15 verification tables at the Bomas of Kenya were empty on Monday morning.
Only a few tables are occupied with clerks engaging in low-tone conversation after finishing paperwork.
Inside the auditorium, both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza's seats were occupied to capacity by 9 am.
Foreign envoys and ambassadors were also seated as early as 8.30 am, signalling a possible declaration today.
There is also a heavy presence of security personnel both at the auditorium, surrounding areas and the main gate.
Both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio are at the venue awaiting the big announcement by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati.
