It's the inflation. Cost of living has shot up. In Kenya, too.

Actually heard someone complaining bitterly Jana about the new prices at the *supa.* They were blaming Uhuru and the election season. I had to explain to them it was the war in Ukraine. They looked at me like I was a strange new fish. It just wasn't clicking, the connection.

Told them Russian mafuta is onge which has caused mafuta to get expensive everywhere, which has caused everything else to get expensive, seemingly overnight. They still didn't shika how something so far away could make their milk more expensive.

I got the feeling they left the Convo convinced I was selling them a bag of hogwash.

I bet any govt facing an election anytime soon is in for a rough time. Too many common folk don't know the Ukrainian war has made their lives more difficult. They assume it must be their own govt.

Biden was doing badly before. Ukraine only made matter worse. We already knew voters were waiting for midterms to show him boss.

PKenyans don't understand how powerful the US is (they think it's like kenya where a president can screw it up) not possible in USA. Right now employers don't know what to do because they can't find people to work. Imagine that? begging people to work for a paycheck.
