You can bet corruption figure is higher in kenya than Uganda...maybe 10 percent or more in Kenya.

It is much more than 10%. Remember the 10% is only for mtu mkubwa. Then comes the CS, PS, Road engineers etc. Everyone wants to kula kidogo.

Also the construction company like SGR and Nairobi Expressway there were no tenders. Single sourcing. So prices in the bill of quanties are inflated. The tax payers loose more than 40% according to my estimates.

It possible 15 percent - I dont think small guys are allowed to eat big. 10 percent is 8B kshs - on such big deals that attract the big guy in statehouse interest - this is done at high level with money cleaned in China or Dubai or wherever. They are probably hunting for 3-5 such projects - clean deal - zero risk - the big guy can cross 20-30B annually - stashed abroad

The CS or PS kazi yao in such project ni weka signature for 50-100m - or paper pushing. They just get to sign many small deals so end of year they can also cross a billion of their own per annum. They are also one likely to be taken to court because their fingerprints and footprint are all over. The big guys never sign anything :). The CS or PS become the big guy in small projects that statehouse is not interested in...

Road engineer pewa 10M to alter designs or look the other side kind of thing. Enda nunua Nyumba Kileleshwa or build apartments in Kasarani. 10M for 10 projects can easily cross 100m per annum.

City Kanjo  or NEMA guy will get 1m or 0.5M here and there for small infractions like blowing dust all over construction sites. For many small projects they can easily cross 10m per annum.
