One of the two major parties in America has basically become a vehicle for open white supremacists. The GOP has always been a racist adjacent party, since at least the late 60s. But they used to call it out when it became too obvious. Steve King was sanctioned as recently as 2019. Still in the last six years, it has ratcheted up its association with racists.
The one thing a GOPer cannot do now is condemn white supremacism. Yet Mitt Romney is doing it. For all his flaws, and there are plenty, he seems to me like one of the few GOPers coming from a good place.
