If you like basketball(often even if you don't), you know Lebron. Earlier in his career, it seemed obvious he was not the GOAT, but had potential. After Miami, there were still a few questions and doubts, reasonable IMO. But since then he has not only won two titles, (2016)against arguably the greatest team, and one in LA. He has won a championship as finals MVP on three different teams and with three different coaches. On countless occasions he has willed teams of scrubs onto the NBA finals stage.
It doesn't seem crazy anymore to consider the guy as the best that's ever laced up - yes better than MJ - and he is still playing. Michael Jordan won more titles granted. But every single one of those he played with a very strong team, same side-kick, same coach same system. When those elements were absent, he never made it even as far as the finals. To me, that accomplishment by Lebron is simply unmatched and dispositive of the question. Finals MVP on three different teams and three different coaches(each of who wins their first titles with Lebron).
