Police Car Leasing Scandal
« on: October 24, 2014, 04:04:31 PM »
It is becoming normal with jubilee. It is a government of thieves and pickpockets. They have good ideas but they simply can't go forward because of one thing: CORRUPTION. The latest is the police car leasing project. I suspect they will bribe those objecting and then use parliament to rubber stamp the robbery.

These people are robbing Kenyans. They are inflating the cost of goods so that Kenya tax payers and future unborn citizens will remain forever burdened by debt. They have no shame and they have a loyal squad of online robots to defend every misdeed without ever stopping to look at the merits.

CMC does not have a franchise agreement with Ford Motors International for the sale of their vehicles for the next 48 months. The distributorship had been terminated in June but the decision was later rescinded and the franchise extended.

The losing bidders were not satisfied, however, and raised concerns with Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich, Treasury PS Kamau Thugge and the Public Procurement Oversight Authority.

A procurement expert questioned why Treasury tendered for the lease of police vehicles. The tender requirements for heavy-duty single cabin pick-ups with superstructure and canvas seems to have been tailored for Toyota Kenya.

It is the only company that manufacturers the vehicle and is present in Kenya. Lot 8 of the tender documents for 150 units sought double cabin pick-ups, 4x4 for 1,900-2,300 cc.

However, CMC which was awarded the tender, has two pick-up models, 2,200cc and 3,200cc. The source said senior officials received Sh360 million to favour tendering companies.Another irregularity is that the award was signed by Thugge instead of his deputy who sits on the tender committee.

The process has to be fair otherwise the courts will throw it out.
That s what they dont foresee. From laptops to impeaching governors, has to be a process.

Well, they expect the courts to play along. You have seen how they have launched tirade after diatribe against the judiciary. Some individual judges have bowed down to threats and intimidation. I have in mind Lenaola who banned speeches not yet made when arm twisted by Sonko. Then there is the nyooba judge who disbarred Wetangula.

The process has to be fair otherwise the courts will throw it out.

I thought that the only place that can disbar someone is the LSK?
