9.77 is crazy.  This guy was struggling to get to sub 10.15 just the other day.  The sudden progression is stunning!  If he drops the times at the same rate two times more, he will tie the world record.

That aside, it should be an interesting next season in the sprints, with a Kenyan finally in the mix.  The guys he has to worry about: Trayvon Bromell, Fred Kerley, Andre de Grasse and of course a returning Christian Coleman.  My hunch is Gatlin may be past his long overdue peak; he hasn't recorded anything impressive this season and he is 39.

Yes if he is not busted for drugs; then he is legit; his starting technique still not smooth.
