I think he has good game in Western - with governors there - so he might be able to pull 30 percent without maDVD. He is definitely strong in Busia - which extension of Siaya - and also part of Vihiga-Kakamega - the Bunyore-all the way from Atwoli to Butere of oparanya - then small line to Majengo - Kiboswa - back to Maseno - that he will nick. Bungoma he might get 30 percent without Weta.
So maDVD or Weta really bring little to Raila - 4% - compared to what they are demanding.
Where he will really struggle is Ukambani. Mutua who cannot deliver Lilian - will struggle in Machakos- but he has Ngilu - and could get Prof of Makueni - so 20 percent is a possibility without Kalonzo. And also less than 5 percent is a real possibility
Talking of trying to square circles...Raila will definitely come 2nd with 30-35 percent of the vote...with strong Uhuru support...he could max out at 40 percent.
But Raila and team are aiming for second round contest...so its important to defend their turf from Ruto...make sure Weta or Kalonzo or maDVD do not sign to UDA...and aim to split Mt kenya.
