Ruto is a forceful nonsense character - if you were inside gov - blocking gov agenda - then you will definitely get out of the way.
But when it come to politics - NO.
Ruto will rarely use violence against political rival - the reason Ruto is very good in politics - he knows how to finish somebody with propaganda.
I have not seen him deploying any violence in RV - against many of his opponent.
People who use violence are characters like Biwott - who cannot express themselves. Or a conman like Raila who fear being exposed for who he is.
Not someone like Ruto who is super talented. Why use the police when a microphone is enough to finish an opponent.
But yes anyone who has worked with Ruto says he is doesnt broke nonsense, is intellectually arrogant/opinionated and has no time for time wasting beer guzzling lazy folks.
You need to be on top of your game, and have as much energy as he does, to wake up 5am and retire past 10pm every day, crunching and getting stuff done.
Omollo is not lying, insiders say Ruto in the first term was very gung ho, Uhuru had to restrain him because his instincts were very authoritarian, he wanted to squash all opposition, jail, kill and deport all that crossed government path. Ruto is also said to harbor a particular hatred for the Muslim community. I don't if he has mellowed but Raila and co would have been charged with treason had it not been for the intervention of Uhuru.
This incident is baffling and further promotes the conspiracy of martyrdom.
