Ruto read it as an attempt by Uhuru to throw the ladder down after winning pork - by bringing in positions that OKOA Kenya wanted - to allow weak-kneed candidates -to easily form a coalition - by having 5 or 6 positions - to go through the 50 percent threshold.

But no extra power was going to be created or destroyed by BBI. The total power remains - all key positions in Kenya - and total money to be stolen (no 1 reason these politicians are salivating at politics) - remain - whatever gov can tax and borrow.

If people truly want to share power in 6 or 10 ways - all they need is goodwill.

There is nothing any constitution will do to share power - we have seen Ruto in the first term as powerful co-president - and in the second term very useless - at least VP of old times - was also a minister - normally of home affairs or foreign affairs.

Matiangi is effectively a PM - through an executive order. Nothing stop Uhuru from appointing Raila a chief minister through executive order. Or even telling the minister to report to Raila in quasi arrangement.

Power-sharing is all about TRUST AND GOODWILL from PORK. Anything else will create too many centers of power and conflict  - if PM was to disagree with PORK - so ultimately all executive power rest on PORK - the constitution has reduced that by creating independent bodies, judiciary and parliament.

The Uhuru I know is very brilliant and strategic - lazy and drunk yes but stupid no. This to me remains unforced errors almost deliberately designed to fail. 20 errors when he has gov and private laywers of highest repute? Moi was std 8 dropout and would never commit two errors. 20 errors!

Uhuru has achieved his objective - taken 50 percent coalition cake from Ruto and kept Raila engaged in the fatally flawed process - for 4yrs! every time he kept pushing - and every time Raila kept saying the deadline is Jan 2020 - then June 2020 - then Sept 2021 - uhuru found a way to extend BBI thing. Introducing an ombudsman for example was deliberate to kill BBI in the judiciary.

Uhuru today is celebrating - he has gotten off the hook in personal responsibility - and Raila has spent 4 yrs bowing down to him waiting for BBI to conclude.NASA love Uhuru for BBI.

Will Raila wake up - or he will remain waiting for Uhuru to use his SYSTEM and DEEP STATE to railroad OKA to back him. That is new game in town:
