BBI is Dead. CoD: Time
« on: June 03, 2021, 09:42:02 PM »
I haven't read all the threads so I'm sure someone could have already stated this. Pundit has an eye for detail.

Uhuru has less than 13 months to be arrogant. Deadline when elections kickoff is May 2022

Can't be shortened. There's a court order on it. So let's start counting up

June 21: Court of appeal: judgment is August 2021. Losers digest for 14 days

Appeal to supreme court by September 1st

(Uhuru remaining with 12 odd months)

Supreme court takes 3 months to render verdict and deal with supplemental applications

(Uhuru remaining with 9 months)

If it passes BBI resumes the movement in the system

IEBC starts voter registration 3 months. Can't be shortened due to Jaramogi vs ECK 1992

(Uhuru remaining with 6 months)

Voter education starts. Must be 3 months. There's a court verdict on that too

(Uhuru remaining with 3 months)

Referendum Campaigns start & must be 3 months can't be shortened probably a court verdict on the same

( Uhuru remaining with 0 months)

He can't run in the presidential poll before BBI

Note that Musinga gave a tight schedule. I laughed aloud because Kenyans generally and courts in particular simply don't conform to such. The schedule is just too neat. It doesn't provide for lawyers' time to fart or sneeze. Your honour we weren't served... the documents are missing pagination... the registry was closed and the online system wasn't working.

One thing I know if an advocate can win anything by drawing out time if you're on the opposite side recite all the names of God in Jewish!!! Because there's nothing you can do to speed it up. The drama. I really doubt the case making it in less than 3 months. In fact I see the judgment in September or October

Then the case will end up at the Supreme Court. The good thing is Koome is an intellectual dwarf and a legal pinprick. She can't read fast and is dependent on Consigliere Kihara to write a judgment and give her to sign. But the other judges are smart arrogant scholars. Theyll want to do their thing. While Njoki will sign on. Lenaola, Smokin, DCJ and Ouko will not. Kadara will probably take leave to go shit for 3 months.

Bottom line the case will end with barely time for the IEBC to act.

Note that such things as 70 constituencies are time barred. If they take the document for amendments it will be time barred. Remember Uhuru Kenyatta needs it for his 3rd term. The whole thing must be done and settled well before anyone presents nominations. Without it he's constitutionally barred. If held same day as general election he won't be a candidate.

If it passes after he's out of office he's cooked still without 70 voting robots.

... [the ICC case] will be tried in Europe, where due procedure and expertise prevail.; ... Second-guessing Ocampo and fantasizing ..has obviously become a national pastime.- NattyDread

I agree with timelines; I disagree with premise; Uhuru if he really wanted BBI; would have not been this reckless and would have not wasted 2018, 2019, 2020 - and now 2021.

Uhuru is therefore not interested in BBI or a 3rd term through elections. In this appeal - his main motive is to untangle himself from his own mess.

For now it appears he is interested in prolonging his term - Ethiopian Nobel Laurate style or Somali Farmajo Style or Silva Kiri style. He appears to be trying to create a crisis - so election won't happen next year or happen in such a farce it would be nullified.Definitely COVID-19 is going to be used. Don't be suprised by Uhuru asking parliament to extend the voting date by a year or something like that.

Uhuru on his own cannot find his bottom - but with Raila support - he can continue wrecking havoc.

Anyway I think after Kiambaa - if Jubilee loses - You can forget about Uhuru. Already the rats are fleeing Jubilee. The battle royale is in Kiambaa-Muguga - if his own people confirm what happened in Juja - then it's over for him - politically speaking.

Yes is testing waters. The problem is that he is sorrounded by idiots who are now scared of being jobless in one year. So expect really desperate moves as he becomes lameduck. Unless Kenyatta Empire realize they are likely the biggest losers in any crisis - and in event of Ruto or Raila winning.

For now our hopes lies in Kenya Judiciary and Mt Kenya people rejection of his reckless games. Mt kenya people learnt some hard lesson in 2008 - they know even if Uhuru is president - when shit hit the fan - he won't protect them - and 0.5-1M of their people could end up destitute IDPS in their own country. Therefore unlike in the past - Mt Kenya people - are now nationalistic.

Mt Kenya sophisticated anger - and Judiciary independence - are our last defences. Otherwise all rest of candidates are handling Uhuru carefully hoping they will endorse them - so he has free airtime until somewhere in 1st quarter of next year when he has to appoint somebody
