Yes - our women are covering our boys. This what happen when you empower both genders. In old days it was men and when they crushed we crushed.
Patiently waiting. Faith Cherotich and Wanyonyi looks almost a sure bet. Moraa is a little risky based on recent performance, but if she focus we may get Gold or Silver. I think Bahrain lady will give it all because the whole of Bahrain is what is waiting for that medal. I'M Hoping Chebet will give us another in 5000m
Phanuel Koech fell, and Gold or silver just disappeared like that. Yes, looking at athletic History from Kipchoge Keino in the 70s to 2010 Kenyan men have been dominating but lately something is happening and is noticeable on the global stage. Steeplechase, 5M and 10K men seems to be out of reach lately. could be the young athletes are not as focussed/disciplined and Pros like the past champions.

We have two women who will get us 3 golds plus Marathon. 800M the Luhya guy is very solid.  So we could get 5 golds. Women 3000M unless Kenya Bahrain Yavin denies - make that 6.

What else? 800M morara normally looks good?

Likely we become 2nd after USA only because Kenyan team is not aggressively pursuing sprint races. I think if we had strong relay team, 400M hurdles, 100M we could easily eclipse USA and become Global athletics powerhouse.

The usual pessimists on this forum. Europe is there to stay. France has its issues, but is a strong beutiful country. Most likely none writing here has neither visited the country nor has any knowledge of the language.
France has for decades exploited the French speaking African countries. Also one must get to know the Francophone Africans. They have another mentality in comparisson to us. For these folks, anyone speking French is closer to them than anyone else. A French speaking Togolese will feel more attached to the Senegalese than to his neighbour from Ghana. It is not only the French that are a problem, but the French speaking Africans too.
The exploitation is almost coming to an end, especially in the Sahel region, and France decline is inevitable. France has to venture to other Francophone countries, or their ballooning debt will slowly chew them through. I agree; French-speaking Africans are their worst enemy and will sell themselves short just to look like Frenchmen. Assimilation was the worst form of colonialism but not distant from the British system, which has maimed former colonies like Kenya for quite sometime.

“The business crisis seems to be unravelling because it is no longer just the traditional high-risk sectors that are taking a blow. The mess seems widespread because we have manufacturers and even service providers caught up,” Peter Njinu, a business strategist, said.

For example, Kenya’s oldest bus and truck body manufacturer, Labh Singh Harnam Singh Limited (LSHS), has been placed under the administration of Ponangipalli Venkata Ramana Rao and Swaroop Rao Ponangipalli over a Sh1billion KCB bank debt.

The High Court also placed giant cereals manufacturer Proctor & Allan East Africa under the receivership of Ponangipalli Venkata Ramana Rao and Swaroop Rao Ponangipalli, effective February 24, 2025, after it failed to service a KCB Group loan estimated at Sh3.7 billion.

PwC is in control of East African Cables Plc (EAC, Kenya), which is currently under administration over a Sh2.2 billion Equity Bank loan that had run into default in 2023. PWC has also taken over TransCentury Plc (TCL Plc), which is currently under receivership.

Further, PKF Consulting Limited’s Peter Kahi took over as an administrator of Africa Spirits Limited (ASL) on June 17, 2025, following appointment by the firm’s directors. Accounting consultancy firm Anant Bhatt LLP has also bagged receivership deals by the National Bank of Kenya (NBK) with the back-to-back takeover of Nairobi Upper Hill Hotel and Nyakoe Hotel.

NBK placed the Nairobi Upper Hill Hotel under receivership over a long-running dispute over a debt estimated at Sh447 million. Kamal Anantro Bhatt and Jai Kamal Bhatt of Anant Bhatt LLP were also appointed by Equity Bank as joint receiver managers of Eastland Hotel, which is based in Nairobi’s Kilimani area over debt.
