Our elections are manual.
The electronic part is provisional results - more like early warning system.
Manual forms are filled, pinned, scanned, electornically transmitted- but more importantly - they are physically delivered to IEBC all the way from Polling station to many tallying centers..stamped, etc.
If a hacker was to gain entry into the system - all the would do is alter the scanned images - or the electronically entered provisional results -
But the manual forms would need to be similarly altered. That would require getting secured papers, serials, stamps, name it.
Chirchir job is to develop mirror reporting system for Jubilee and Ruto in 2022 - that way parties can know how elections are going on - and that of course depend on having agents in every polling stations.
Chirchir system was simple USSD - app - that agents would report every 30minutes on turnout - bla bla and eventually transmist the final results.

What do you mean you guys?Msando I believe was murdered for being cozy and related to odm tophonchos..I am not sure why..but I believe IEBC staff need to stay neutral.IT systems can sabotaged to deligitimize elections like it happen in 2013 when systems collapsed.NASA had no path to victory and their strategy was to mess election and aim for handshake .Msando meeting nyong'o for dinner was bad move
