It’s human conflict. As old as humanity. The west has had a “prolonged” peace of a mere 75 years. I feel like that is not enough license to sneer at the African “predisposition for violence”. Whenever one group feels unfairly dominated, there will be war. Bob Marley was spit on.

Disagreement even btw brothers, sisters, wife and husband sometimes get physical.
The best way is open and more communication, more democracy, more fairness, less domination, more devolution, more federalism, more power sharing, less winner take it all.
As for the hypocritical west - in that peaceful period - they have waged wars in middle east, asia and the rest.
We still spend trillion on defense budget.
As for Africa and it's bush wars. It down to weak institutions, weak armies, weak gov.

BBI is a snake. Imperial presidency that weaken institution and democracy is a snake. We need more devolution - in both power and resources. Secondly we need power sharing in PM/Exec PM but more importantly power need to be shared to counties and to institution.
US has no PM/etc - but they have strong devolution, strong institution and etc . That is power sharing. Trump can huff and puff - but he knows Judiciary is out of reach, senate and congress is independent.
BBI is attempting to bring back imperial presidency who control police, judiciary and parliament - and has kamiakaze prime minister - like is in uganda, tanzania, ethiopia - name of these countries - who are apponted and fired by PORK atlmost at will. Nobody even bother to Know Uganda VP or PM or Tanzania or Ethiopia presidents. Useless figure heads.
That is not power sharing - that is STUPIDITY. It like being a vice president to Moi :) or Kibaki like Moody Awori - not even Busia people could delude themselves they had power - and like Sabatia - they kicked out Moody and maDVD. This DPORK at least has some teeth like Deputy Governor because they cannot fire and hire at will.
Our COK 2010 - gave us in 10yrs - annulled presidential election of a serving president. I might have issues with it's merits but I recognize what it means for our fledging democray. The first in Africa. That is HUGE. Strong devolution towards federalism - that is huge. Strong and independent Judiciary. Independent police force (this now is under state capture). Independent parliament - not one with ministers and prime minister in it. That is POWER SHARING. It's not having imperial pork with lots of flower girls.
COK2010 should not be touched in my view unless there is serious crisis. It need to be implemented in letter and spirit.
BBI handchieth can be done in parliament. Let Uhuru appoint a Matiangi like Prime Minister through an act of parliament or executive orders like he has done. Nothing stops him from appointing Raila if he wants.
