The way it's finishing the elite; it bad news;
Most African elite are fat and obese;
Something of a status symbol almost.
Being thin is almost scorned upon.
Now they are dying...unable to fight Corona.
We just lost a neighbor - a proffesor.
When Bill Gates said - Africa will be worse - we thought he was joking.
Nearly everyone in our court is obese - nearly every african who has a good job - start fattening almost immediately.
The Africa hustlers will not feel it - but the educated fat elites will be decimated.

Not just the elite but being overweight /obese with underlying conditions.I have lost people I know and several in hospitals bills raging to millions. Very sad no medical cover is covering Corona. Am worried myself am taking all safety precautions go out only when needed. I care about my kids a lot don't want to take any chances. God help us. I don't know why baba is always exposing himself he never wears any masks doesn't he fear Corona?
Being thin now is seriously a plus most of those personally have seen affected fit very well into the covid risks factor being overweight its no joke. When you go to hospital and they put you on oxygen minum days there will be 14 days plus even if you recover chances are covid will have affect your organs some permanently God forbid.
I am trying to lose weight but my wife constantly overfill my plate I don't know why she always does this since I married her have always thought she wants me to lose my figure so that women out won't be attracted to me. Women are another lot :o

Take over your own dietary needs. Eat only when hungry. Stop eating as a habit. Losing weight is not easy. It is the gardest lifestyle change.
As for covid just hope the vaccine is effective. If it is not this diease will kill over 20 million in a decade. The good thing it id just targeting the old and weak.

Some weight issues come about as a result of aging, even if you are not eating more than usual. Metabolism declines. You start to pack pounds very easily. The need develops to watch what you are eating, where before, your metabolism simply took care of it.
Diet change is not just about reducing quantities. Even regular exercise without change in diet - more whole grains, veggies, nuts, fruits etc - stops working. I have found that smoothies are pretty effective making you eat what you may otherwise not eat.

I also think genetic is responsible. I know people who are just naturally like to become obese almost - while some whatever they eat will remain thin. My mother for example is naturally likely to be fat - while my father - whatever he ate - never could add weight - so was my grandmother and their brothers. The same is true for my paternal uncles while my maternal uncles were naturally like to be fat.
I see many Luos have that problem - seem to likely grow fat easily. Kalenjin are almost naturally lean.
I suspect many black Americans are fat and huge due to genetics.

Definitely a factor. Kagame could eat every meal from a Cheesecake Factory and not gain a pound. Some folks are just lucky. For some Africans though, the western lifestyle of three square meals, not to mention snacking, is a silent killer.

I would avoid whole grains, modern dietary guidelines are misguided in promoting wholegrains. Studies have shown that phytic acid in whole grains blocks calcium, zinc, magnesium, iron and copper in the body. That is why traditional societies always prepared grains elaborately; removing brans, hulls, etc. In addition many fermented grains, sprouted them. Refined grains are healthier than whole grains paradoxically.

Easy to say if you try bibi thinks you have a mpango where you eating too. This mountain women are difficult the more I tell her to serve me small portions it falls on deaf years I was to start gym but she saw that as the greatest abomination ever. Luckily I will be alone for some few weeks working and then I can cut serious kilos going into Xmas.
