Lawyer in court to have William Ruto sworn as President

Lawyer Kiprono Matagei has moved to court to compel Chief Justice Willy Mutunga to swear in William Ruto as President for the remaining three years of the term of Jubilee coalition.

Mr Matagei, in his court papers, argues that Uhuru Kenyatta's surrender of instruments of power and the presidential motorcade is construed as resignation within the meaning of Article 146 (1) (b).

The Article states: The office of President shall become vacant if the holder of the office — resigns, in writing, addressed to the Speaker of the National Assembly.

Mr Matagei filed the application at the High Court in Nairobi.

Accesibility to the court system is that easy?

Kenyans are just getting smarter by the day. This was a cruel April fools joke on the kalenjin people of Kenya.  It was wrapping up Deputy Presidency in a gift-wrapper and giving it back to wsr as if it is something new. It must be the same person in ouru's inner circle who came up with the idea of ouru going to donate the already donated mosquito nets to the people of Migori.  The only difference is that the people of Migori decided to control the agenda and created their own news. What ouru did would only make sense if it were a resignation otherwise we now have two presidents.  Ouru swore in Ruto but did not resign. One of them needs to step down. You cannot play musical chairs with the presidency.

He can use this money to help PEVs file for compensation instead of this crap. He is crapping all over and he needs to be told.
