Except these ones here have stockpiled guns. Even if Trump goes, the rump of the Republican party looks like it will consist of these types for the foreseeable future.

They have always been around. They are fringe cult like supremacists groups. Anytime there is a Democrat in power they appear. They have never had a president that openly supported them. After trump they will be hunted down by security agencies and most will retreat. Any confrontation they had with the state they have lost. The last big terrorist act was Oklahoma bombing. The wars in middle made the govt take its eyes off them. Once trump is gone most of the harmless cult followers will just die down but these will have to be taken on

True. Americans are armed to the teeth since owning guns in the US is legal. One can go to Walmart and buy a gun. All one needs is to show a driving license. It is like going to Nakumatt in Kenya and buying a gun. The show of arms means nothing in the US. Even the African-Americans have arms. So the White militia do not have a monopoly to violence. In some states people are allowed to carry arms in the public. In some others not. I remember the same crowds going to meetings where the then president Obama was attending openly showing their arms.
