In the US the people being tested are those who show symptoms.  Doctors are not sending people to be tested, unless their symptoms become unbearable.  Very sick people.  If you are asymptomatic, you are not getting tested.

Why does this matter?  If you are testing very sick people, you are going to find very sick people with covid-19.  The mortality of very sick people(with or without) covid-19 is naturally higher than normal.  So whatever readings are coming from the US are not helpful in determining mortality among a covid-19 infected people.

This is an interesting time where US, Uk etc are looking like basket cases of how not to handle COVId.

The recovery times and rates for Kenyan are a scary bit of information not being pursued. Other countries are reporting 5-12 days while here it is averaging at 20+ days. This is quite scary.
